The Education Opportunities Act restricts tuition grants to K-12 students who live in an Iowa household, the total income of which does not exceed an amount equal to four times the federal poverty guideline. An STO may impose additional eligibility requirements.
You may be eligible to receive a grant from the STO of Southeast Iowa if your household income from line 9 of IRS Form 1040 does not exceed the amount shown below for the number of people in your household.

How to Apply
All families who wish to be considered for a grant from the STO of Southeast Iowa for the 2025-2026 school year must download the financial aid application pdf file, print, complete, and mail in with a copy of pages 1 and 2 of their 2024 federal tax return no later than April 15, 2025.
Assistance in completing the application is offered by the participating schools. Schools will be notified of 2025 grant awards in May, 2025.
